Champions of Innovation
ETIM 15 Year Summit
The ETIM Program was established in 2007 to address the growing global need for Technology and Innovation Management capabilities. This spring we held our 15 Year Summit, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the ETIM MS program at Carnegie Mellon University. We welcomed both in person and virtual attendees comprised of our industry partners, alumni, faculty and current students to engage and learn in a day filled with speakers, workshops, and networking. Our keynote speaker Natalie Glance, Senior VP of Engineering at Duolingo, delivered an insightful presentation on the growth and success of Duolingo. Our 3 workshop breakout sessions were led by Burak Ozdoganlar, Zeynep Temel, and Arthur Sugden, who designed diverse and innovative presentations for our audiences. Additionally, we invited 3 alums, Oare Avbuluimen, Aakash Pathak, and Kim Jin, who are making significant industry impact as product managers to share their experiences and learnings since graduating from the program.
After all these years our vision in ETIM remains the same, to prepare the next generation of engineers and scientists with the insights and skills to lead technological innovation and value creation. Our mission is unchanging as we work to continually evolve our curriculum and talent acquisition to address, in a sustainable way, the engineering, technology and innovation management needs of a dynamic marketplace. We look forward to our next 15 years of preparing technical professionals to be strategic leaders of innovation and support organizational transformation in diverse industries.
